Derrick worships at Barker Road Methodist Church. His journey with Alpha began when he got saved during an Alpha course in his church in 2012. Within a year, he was already hosting a small group. By 2014, he stepped up to become the Alpha coordinator, managing the church-wide Alpha course.

Derrick’s boundless energy and passion for God inspire others to join him on this adventure. He mentors and journeys closely with those who walk alongside him.

Elaine worships at Barker Road Methodist Church. She was introduced to Alpha as a participant in 2006 and she got saved through the program. Over the next 5 years, she contributed to Alpha runs by assisting with hospitality and administration. In 2012, she began hosting her own small group. Elaine now serves actively in her church’s Witness and Evangelism ministry.

Her investment of time and hospitality for the kingdom of God is invaluable. Elaine never turns down a lunch or coffee meet-up!

Julie worships at Grace Baptist Church. Since 2016, she has been an integral part of the Alpha community. She serves as a Chinese Trainer and actively coordinates Alpha sessions within her previous church.

Julie’s fervent passion for sharing the gospel drives her to connect with individuals whom she believes God has brought into her life’s path.

Patrick is an active member of Ang Mo Kio Chinese Methodist Church. His heart of service is evident through his role as the church’s Alpha coordinator since 2012, as well as his leadership in worship and cell groups. Patrick also participates in short mission trips whenever his schedule allows.

Within Alpha, Patrick plays a pivotal role in training Chinese-speaking churches. Recently, he has answered the call to partner with us even more closely as an Honorary Ministry Coordinator. His strong willingness to learn and adapt makes him a valuable vessel ready to be used by God.

Yu Khing worships at Every Nation Church. From 2018 to 2020, he served as a Marketplace Coordinator for Alpha Singapore. During this time, he project-led the nation-wide campaign “Alpha Everywhere,” initiated by Love Singapore in 2019.

Yu Khing’s strength lies in simplifying complex concepts and delivering content in an accessible and practical manner. He continues to lead Alpha trainings in the marketplace.

Teck Heong is an active member of Riverlife Church. His involvement in the Alpha ministry extends beyond his church. In 2011, he coordinated, hosted, and emceed his church’s Alpha run. Subsequently, he was invited to assist with running Alpha in HCSA Highpoint, marking the start of his ministry in halfway houses. Currently, he faithfully serves in Breakthrough Missions, where he runs Alpha.

Teck Heong enjoys being with people and his positive presence always leaves everyone feeling uplifted and encouraged.
